Wooster Daily Record: CRESTON -- Charles L. Acord, 83, of Creston, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at his home after a lengthy illness. Charles was born March 1, 1927, in Del Barton, W.Va., the son of the late Mike and Hanna (Lockheart) Acord and was the brother of Tom, Ford, Pearl, Texie and Ellie. He was married to Joyce Ellis for 52 years prior to her death on Sept. 21, 2005. On Oct. 31, 2006, he married Lillian Smith. She survives. He retired from Crown Fabricators in Wooster and had made his home in Rittman for many years prior to moving to Creston in 2005. He was a member of Creston United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending flea markets and yard sales. He was a faithful servant for God. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Revs. Roger Pimpo and Deb Quillen officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
