Darrell Wayne Ball age 67 years, 10 months, and 18 days of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King and Bro. Mark Ball officiating. Burial followed in the Bethel Cemetery.
He was born July 17, 1945 in Revelo, Kentucky to Luther Ball and Mae (Cooper) Ball. Wayne was a member of the First Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He was a special man. He enjoyed flying planes, motorcycles, scuba diving, spelunking, and photography. Wayne was a jack of all trades.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Frances "Frannie" (Ross) Ball whom he married February 16, 1986, of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, David Ball and wife, Patty, of Georgia, and Bill Ball and wife, Sally, of Ohio; and several nephews and nieces.
