His father returned from there Saturday night and was informed of his death Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Hitchcock with Rev. Frank Drew, Methodist pastor, officiating. Legionnaires formed a guard of honor and participated in burial ceremonies at the Watonga IOOF cemetery. Adams served 27 months overseas in the Pacfic Theater. He had more than three years of naval service. While operating a bulldozer during the first 12 months of service overseas. Adams was blown up by a mine. He sustained spinal injuries, his family stated.
