Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Abrahamson, who passed away Wednesday, August 18, following a lingering illness were held Saturday, August 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. B. R. Biorn, pastor officiated at 2 p.m. Burial was made in Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. Jorgen Thompson, B. H. Narveson, Martin Hegland, E. M. Holmquist, John Berntsen and Arthur Johnson. Elise Marie Sieverson was born March 15, 1886 the daughter of Theodore and Maren Sieverson at Chicago, Ill. She was graduated from Northwest Division High School and on January 2, 1913 was married to Carl Abrahamson. Besides her husband Mrs. Abrahamson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Manuel Azar of Arlington, Va. She is also survived by two grandchildren Carl Richard and Catherine Cole Azar and by one sister Othelia, Mrs. A. J. Brekke. Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Abrahamson lived successively in Jewel, Iowa, Chicago, Ill., Red Wing and Northfield. They came to Northfield in 1932 when Mr. Abrahamson became a member of the music faculty at St. Olaf College. Mrs. Abrahamson was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
