The funeral service for Pat Hancock Armstrong of Ocilla, who died April 16, 1997 at Irwin County Hospital, was held at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She was 55.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
The deceased wqas born June 16, 1941 in Macon to William Porter and Lucy Elizabeth Stephens Canter. A homemaker and member of Waterloo Baptist Church, Mrs. Armstrong had lived in Irwin County most of her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Hancock of Ocilla; one son, Randy Hancock of Ocilla; one brother, Billy Canter of Tifton; three sisters: Abbie Fletcher and Sherrall Clements and Barbara Boyles; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Jerry Hancock.
