Cheryl was born on May 26th, 1945, daughter of the late John and Geneva Smiley. Cheryl was employed at Computer Software Systems in Indianapolis, Indiana for 26 years. She was a very family oriented person who loved spending time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always looked forward to and enjoyed the fall season.
Cheryl was survived by her loving husband, Jerry G. Arlaud, who she married on July 7th, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Stacey Ping of Eubank, Kentucky and Shana Warui of Greenwood, Indiana; one brother, James N. Smiley of Cambridge City, Indiana; four grandchildren, Chad Moeller of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brandon McIntosh of Seymour, Indiana, Justin Simpson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Tara Simpson of Greenwood, Indiana; seven great grandchildren, Mylee, Faith, Aiden, Jacob, Layla, Caleb, and Macey; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geneva Smiley of Cambridge City, Indiana.
Visitations were held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 after 5:00 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor David A. Green officiating.
