Maude Holland Barnard, 85, died Monday, December 13, 2010, at Community Hospice in Vidalia. She was born in the Hillview Community of Tattnall County and lived in this area all her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Collins. She was preceded in death by husband, Alvin Barnard; daughter, Elaine Willis; and sons: Wendell, Gary, David, and Ricky Barnard.
She is survived by children: Janice Medors of Pataskla, Ohio; Bobby and Pearl Barnard of Claxton; Wayne and Libby Barnard of Metter; Stanley and Cherry Barnard of Collins; Brad and Debra Barnard, Timmy and Patricia Barnard, and Kevin Barnard, all of Reidsville; daughter-in-law, Connie Barnard of Cobbtown; son-in-law, Bo Bo Willis of Reidsville; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Reidsville, with the Rev. William Prince officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Church Cemetery in Candler County.
Pallbearers were Jeffery Barnard; Kenneth Barnard; Wayne Barnard, Jr.; Robbie Barnard; Brian Barnard; Alvin Barnard; and Jamie Barnard.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home of Reidsville is in charge of the arrangements.
