David A. Potter, 62, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, died Sunday, May 11, 2003, in Alamogordo. Mr. Potter was born September 25, 1940 in Sandwich, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and was retired from Caterpillar Tractor.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Potter of the family home; a daughter, Kristin Diane Potter of Manchester, Tennessee; two grandsons, Kurt Spuhler of Montgomery, Illinois and Cody Potter of Manchester, Tennessee; three brothers, Donald Potter and his wife, Roycana of Vienna, Virginia, Glendon Jarold Potter and his wife, Santina of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and Dean Potter and his wife, Glenda of Sandwich, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Alamogordo with Pastor Robert Smith of the Cottonwood Christian Fellowship officiating.
Following cremation, inurnment will be in the Little Chapel in the Desert Columbarium.
