Birth: Oct. 15, 1904
Kilrush
County Clare, Ireland
Death: Nov. 16, 1996
Beckenham
London Borough of Bromley
Greater London, England

Elizabeth was one of many children born to her parents Margaret Grogan (nee MacKnight) and Bernard Grogan. Her other siblings as far as is known were Bernard, Michael, Margaret, Mary, Catherine, Nora (b 1900) and Christine (Chrissie b 1905). There were many others some of whom did not survive infancy or young childhood.Elizabeth came to England in the 1920s - she hoped to become a nurse and for a while worked in service to a family in Kent. Marriage followed during which she had 4 children and worked as a nursing assistant. Her 4 children gave her 16 grandchildren and to date those grandchildren have produced 22 great grandchildren in England and Switzerland. Sadly she only met a few of these great grandchildren which is a pity because they would have loved her and she would have loved them. She was my grandmother and very much loved - she is still missed to this day.
