MABEL JOANNA ARCAND, 72, b. Williams, Aug. 28, 1898, d. Anchorage, Alaska, January 18, 1971.
The former Mabel Pratt was a member of a well known Colusa County family and widow of Louis Arcand who served on the Board of Directors of the Colusi Historical Society for several terms.
Mrs. Arcand was a member of the Women's Society for Christian Service of the Methodist Church, the Colusa County Garden Club, a charter member of the Arbuckle Women's Club and for more than 50 years a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, George L. Arcand of Anchorage whom she was visiting at the time of her death, and William Arcand of Arbuckle; Sisters, Mrs. Pauline Pederson of Arbuckle and Mrs. Clara Milliard of Riverside; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her husband preceded her in death in 1963.
Funeral services were under the direction of McNary-Moore; interment was in the Arbuckle Cemetery. - Transcribed by M.
