John Ray Bamfield age, 70 of LaVergne died Thursday December 17, 2015 He was a native of Ohio and was the son of the late, Duane and Margaret Fetzko Bamfield. Mr. Bamfield was a Christian and a proud Vietnam War Veteran serving with the Army in the 101st and 1st Cav. He was retired from Textron Industries.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Tommye Trull Bamfield; children, Anissa Taylor and husband Jamie of LaVergne, Laurie Ritter and husband Jason of Smyrna; grandchildren, Erica King, Hunter and Nathan Taylor, McKenzie, Michael, and Bryson Ritter; brothers, Dana Bamfield, Gary Bamfield, Ricky Bamfield, Rudy Bamfield all of Ohio.

Visitation will be 1:00PM to 4:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service and Military Honors will be 4:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Pastor Steve Marcum will officiate. Graveside service will be at 1:00PM Monday at Bethel Cemetery in Perry County.
