BALTIMORE - Mary E. Blauser, age 91 of Baltimore died Friday March 13, 2009 at Winchester Place, Canal Winchester. She was born in Baltimore on May 30, 1917 to parents, Roy and Myrtie King. In 1933, Mary graduated from Columbus Central High School at the age of 16. She worked as a secretary at West High School until she married Otto Wesley Blauser in 1939. Mary moved with her husband to their Baltimore farm in 1947 where she embraced farm life and all that it entailed. She remained on the farm for 35 years after her husband's death in 1974. Beloved by her family, Mary will be remembered for her independent spirit, quick wit, and her twinkle-eyed smile. She never forgot the lessons of the Great Depression and was not one to let anything go to waste. She loved board games, playing cards, and was an expert at crossword puzzles. Mary always kept her hands busy. Her hand-made crazy quilts and crocheted pieces are treasured by many and her home-made egg noodles and pot pie will be missed.
