Savannah/Glennville - Rubye Tootle Anderson, 95, passed away at home on Thursday, April 27, 2006.

A native of Tattnall County, Mrs. Anderson was born on March 19, 1911, the first of six children of the late Lee and Roxie Tootle of The Oak Grove Community near Glennville.

She was the wife of Millard D. Anderson of Tyson, who preceded her in death in 1956 and was the loving mother of five daughters and two sons, of whom two daughters preceded her in death, Jackie Henderson and Lucy Smith.

A graduate of Glennville High School in 1929, Mrs. Anderson attended Georgia Teachers College (now GSU) and taught in the elementary schools of Tattnall County.

She was a longtime member of Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Glennville prior to her moving to Savannah in the early 1960's.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, ceramics, china painting and porcelain dolls and the many heirlooms she made will always be treasured by her family and friends. She truly lived a life of unselfish giving as the beloved homemaker, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Durrence, Glennville, Vonice Aimone (Chuck), Savannah and Glenda Jackson (Jack), Independence, KY; two sons, Dale H. Anderson, Glennville and Donald D. Anderson, Savannah; son-in-law, Harry L. Henderson, Hinesville; brother, Francis L. Tootle, Savannah; two sisters, Verna Lou Tootle, Savannah and Betty Jo Richards, Magna, UT, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Saturday at Cobb Funeral Home in Glennville.

Funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday at Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder W.H. Durrence and Elder David Summerford officiating.

Burial: Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
