Susan S. Achenbach, 63, of Macy, died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Born on March 23, 1944 in Wells County to Eldon "Ed" and Reada (McBride) Espich, she married William "Bill" Achenbach on July 17, 1989 in Niles, Mich.; he survives.

A 1962 graduate of Rockcreek High School, she was a homemaker, and a member of the Markle United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include her parents in Markle; a son, Tad (Denise) Stahl of Fishers; three daughters, Jamie (Kevin) Washburn of Warrenton, Mo.; Tricia (Robert) Ross of Markle, and Ann Ross of Fort Wayne; a sister, Anita (Doug) LeMaster of Bluffton; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Espich.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Markle Cemetery with Rev. Joe Lampton officiating. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Preferred memorials are to the church.
