Was born in Ohio (Town unknown) in 1813, He was an Engineer by trade and moved to Gold Hill Nevada were he worked as a mining engineer in the Yellow Jacket mine. He died Jan. 22 1864 of pneumonia at age 51 and was laid to rest in the Masonic section of the Gold Hill Cemetery.
His all metal grave marker has been vandalized over the years and all the decorative side panels have been stolen including the one with his name on it.
