Obituary - Miss Emma Ahl, 78, died May 5 at the Charles P. Moorman Home for Wommen. Surviving her are four nieces; Mrs. Greg Spalding, and Mrs. Mary Daily Holland both of Louisville, Mrs John Purcell of Hardinsburg and Mrs. Cyril Marringly of Levitown, NJ.
Grave side services were at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Hardinsburg. Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbears were: John Purcell, Jack Purcell, George Purcell, Lenland (Leland) Seaton, and Chee Robbins.

Moorman, a wealthy citizen of Louisville, Ky., died on the 13th day of February, 1917, leaving a will, the material clauses of which are as follows: (after seeing to the care and support of his son and grandaughter the remainer of his will was to start a home for women) "My purpose is to endow and dedicate to humanity a home for indigent old women, who otherwise would be forced to spend their declining years in want and misery. This purpose I have cherished for many years.
