Adams, Johnnie B., 76, of Manchester, Tennessee died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002 at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville, Tennessee. He was born March 4, 1925, in Warren County, Tennessee the son of the late Robert Lee Adams and Leta Zumbro Adams. He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Ruth Farrar and a son, Dennis Scott Adams. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Barbara Adams, Jeff and Sue Adams and John and Carolyn Adams all of Manchester; daughter, Demetri Gale Owens, Florida and 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two sisters, Jean Eaton, Nashville, Tennessee and Demetri Gladys Ray, Viola, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Friday, January 11, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. Brother Bobby Zumbro officiating. Burial was at Fredonia Cemetery. Manchester Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
