Funeral services for Norman Eugene Banks, age 51, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Milton Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Banks passed away on Thursday at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Mr. Banks was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late Henry Benton and Vinita Trail Banks. He served as a military police officer for the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a maintenance worker and a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by two sisters, Marga (Jimmy) Rivenbark and Patricia Shrader, both of Manchester; one brother, Joseph Banks of Manchester; nieces and nephews, David Rivenbark, Amy Rivenbark, William Shrader and Brooklynn Shrader; and special friend, Cheryl Bortle.
