GLADE SPRING, Va. Jack Stuart Addair, age 73, passed on Monday, April 29, 2013, at home with family by his side. Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed for over 20 years at Sterling Casket. He loved hunting, fishing, bird watching, and "trolling". Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Ruth Hughes Addair; and sister, Mary Addair. He is survived by his daughters, Tina McFarlane and fiance Dewayne Prater of Marion, Va., and Tara and husband Mark Inge of Newnan, Ga.; brothers, Roger Addair of Meadowview and Dan and wife Donna Addair of Russburg, Va., and Bill and wife Bonnie Addair of Lynchburg, Va.; sister, Dorothy Druke of Vermont; three grandchildren, Stone Addair, Austin Crigger, and Landon McFarlane; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Paul Griffith officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service by 1:30 p.m. Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Main Street location of Farris Funeral Service.
