RICHARD ("RED") SPEER ARNOLD Richard ("Red") Speer Arnold, 76, of Atlanta, died May 9, 2005. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Locklin Arnold of Atlanta; his daughters, Karen Arnold (Steve Damrel) of Greensboro, N.C.; and Lucy Balch (David) of Midlothian, VA; his grandchildren, Emily and Sean Damrel of Greensboro and Logan and Zoe Balch of Midlothian; and his brothers Charles Louis Arnold of Atlanta; and James Robert Arnold of Conyers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hobson Arnold, Sr., and Lucile Speer Arnold; and his brother, Hobson Arnold, Jr. Richard Arnold attended Tech High School, class of 1947. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952 and worked at Ivan Allen Company for 40 years, retiring in 1995. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083, (770) 469-9811.
