Mrs. Mary A. Adams passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Bessie O'Connell, last Sunday morning at 2:15 o'clock after several days of suffering. She was 69 years of age and had been a resident of Lemhi County for the past thirty years.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clockat the Presbyterian church, Rev. Walpole preaching the funeral sermon. Pallbearers were Chris Van Stratt, John Dryer, Sr. James W. Kelley, Allen C. Merritt, W. C. Smith and J.M. McPherson. The body was laid to rest in the Salmon cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was born at Magnolia, Iowa, August 11,1864.
On April 9 she suffered a paralytic stroke which affected the ldft side. Although she suffered a freat deal she was patient and cheerful and knew and enjoyed her many friends who called to see her.
Surviving relatives are two sons, John H Adams,Jr., and James L Adams, both of Salmon; five daughters, Mrs. O.D. Crippen of Kelso, Wash; Mrs. H. Reneau of Victor, Mont., Mrs. Bessie O'Connell, with whom she had made her home the past year;Mrs. Frank L. Kerin and Mrs. Floyd Hixson, all of Salmon, Mrs. Crippen and Mrs. Reneau were unable to attend the funeral. She is also survived by her agee mother and one sister, Mrs. Peter Anderson, residing at Rockland, Idaho; one brother, Mr. Peter Lish of May, Idaho. A beloved husband and five children preceded her in death.
Mrs. Adams has a host of friends who join the bereaved relatives in their sorrow.
