The beloved husband of the late Jane Y. (Venti) Antonellis, he was the retired president of D. Antonellis Construction Co. of Brighton.
Born May 3, 1914, he was raised in Brighton and was a 1932 graduate of Brighton High School and a graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston. During World War II he worked as a ground corp instructor for the Air Force at the Curtiss-Wright Manufacturing Plant in Buffalo, N.Y.
He enjoyed baseball and was a former batting practice pitcher for the Boston Braves. He had also coached with the Brighton Little League and was American Legion state champ coach in Florida. He was a longtime resident of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Cape Cod.
Nunzie leaves a daughter, Joan Cowan of East Dennis; three grandchildren, David Seely of Mashpee, Capt. Michael Seely, USMC, of Swansboro, N.C., and Jennifer Tardelli of Atlanta; and six great-grandchildren, Kacie, Jessica, Wesley, Wyatt, Gavin and Logan.
Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stony Brook Road, Brewster. Burial will follow in Chandler Gray Cemetery, West Yarmouth.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 100 North St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
