She told me at one time that she wasn't born on 01 November, but I don't remember what the real date was. Her birth record says 30 Nov, but she never celebrated her birthday on any other day but 01 November.

Family graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell for Mrs. Alice J. Allison, 88, of 611 6th St., Chester.
The rites will be conducted by Dr. George Espy of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of which she was a member.
Mrs. Allison died Thursday at 12:15 PM at the Fox Nursing Home in Chester after a four month illness.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Allison was born Nov. 1, 1889, in Congo, near Newell, a daughter of Thomas E. [sic] Kessel and Mary Martin Kessel.
She was retired in 1974 from the office of her son, Dale K. Allison Insurance Agency in Chester, where she worked as a bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess W. Allison.
Besides her son, Dale, survivors include another son, Bryon [sic] B. Allison of Chester, a daughter, Mrs. John H. (Mary) Remley of Indianapolis, Ind., five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church.
