COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Harold August Albrecht, 91, of Cookeville will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, December 11, at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church in Cookeville. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, December 10, at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church.

Mr. Albrecht died on Monday, December 9, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 18, 1911, in Osborne County, Kansas, to the late George Christian and Katharina Maria (Mamie) Pottberg Albrecht.

Mr. Albrecht was a farmer before joining Hardman Lumber Company in Manhattan, Kansas, from where he retired as the facility manager after 26 years of service. He was actively involved in the First Lutheran Church in Manhattan, and became a member of Heavenly Host Lutheran Church upon moving to Cookeville in 1997.

Before moving to Cookeville, he sang in the church choir for nearly 70 years, and served on the church council. He was also a member of the Manhattan (Kan.) Lion's Club, the Manhattan (Kan.) Elk's Club, the Kansas State University Booster Club and the Stag Hill Golf Club for many years.

His family includes his wife of 66 years, Roberta Hachenberg Albrecht of Cookeville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harold and Betty Albrecht of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., Joe and Connie Albrecht of Cookeville, Dennis Albrecht of Highlandville, Mo.; a daughter, Joyce Yatsook of Grandview, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Scott, Todd and Eric Yatsook, Paula Kaplan, Shawn Martinez, Jay Albrecht, Paulette Hill and Beth Ann Albrecht; and six greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by two brothers, Louis Albrecht of Osborne County, Kansas, and John Albrecht of Beloit, Kansas; and two sisters, Selma Hobble and Clara Albrecht, both of Downs, Kansas.
