WATERLOO - Patrick A. Aldrich, 72, of Waterloo died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at DeKalb Health in Auburn.

Mr. Aldrich worked at Warner Gear in Auburn and then at Air-Way Manufacturing in Waterloo, retiring in 2005. He also worked for the Town of Waterloo for several years and served on the Waterloo-Grant Township Fire Department along with serving on the Waterloo Police Department.

He was a 1958 graduate of Waterloo High School. Mr. Aldrich was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church.

He was born July 22, 1940, in Angola to Carlton and Frances (Castator) Aldrich. He married Leatha A. Denman on March 29, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and she survives in Waterloo.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lorri and Michael Ford of Watrerloo; a son and daughter-in-law, Max and Katie Aldrich of Garrett; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Jeannette Osborn of Auburn and Mary Aldrich of Auburn; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Lola Aldrich of Auburn and Jim and Deb Alrich of Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Aldrich.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo. The Rev. David Mathews will be officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter. Feller & Clark Funeral Home, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
