Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Edna Florida Foutch, 89 of Cookeville will be held Monday April 26 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Leftwich officiating. Interment will follow in the Leftwich Cemetery.
Mrs. Foutch died Saturday morning April 24, 2010 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Foutch was born November 2, 1920 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Waymon and Avo Buckner Leftwich.
Mrs. Foutch was a member of Cookeville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was active with the Cookeville and Baxter Senior Citizens Centers. Mrs. Foutch was a retired associate with the Burroughs Corporation (IBM) in Plymouth, MI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Florida; son, Thomas C. Florida, stepson, James L. Foutch, sister, Retta Vanatta, and two brothers, Burch Leftwich, and Luke Leftwich.
Survivors include her husband of over 25 years, James Marlie Foutch (whom she married October 20, 1984 in Detroit, MI); son and daughterlaw, Waymon & Mary Florida of Ann Arbor, MI; two daughters and sonsinlaw, Ava & Keith Shevlin of Rocky Mount, NC, and Euretta & Mike Pierce of Rochester, NY; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
