Margaret "Nannie" Allen, 82, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, and was well-known in the Tiftonia community as "Nannie," as someone who helped raise several children in the area. She was a wonderful Christian lady, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Nannie will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheeler and Susie Sharp.
Survivors include her two sons, Larry (Vickie) Allen and Dale (Marsha) Allen; six grandchildren, Tim (Angie) Allen, Larry Allen II, Sheri (Craig) Breedlove, Sommer (Eddie) Hennessee, Christopher Allen and Michael Garner; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 11, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Shad Smith and J.R. Witt officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.
