Emil E. Adamski, 83, of Plover, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Saint Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point. Emil was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Buena Vista. He was the son of the late John and Gertrude (King) Adamski. He attended St. Mary's of Mount Carmel Parochial School, in Fancher, and attended Amherst High School. His marriage to Donna Eickendorf took place Nov. 9, 1957, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. After their marriage, the couple settled in Plover and has lived there all their lives. His wife, Donna, survives. Emil began his career at the Nekoosa Port Edwards Mill as a machinist. He retired as head oiler in 1987, after 35 years of service. Emil loved spending time with his family and watching his two granddaughters in their sporting events and dance recitals. He also enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. He enjoyed gardening, bowling and golf, and even shot a hole in one Aug. 8, 1999, at the Sentry World Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Emil's name will be established at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Donna of Plover; his four children, Scott (Laura) Adamski of Plover, his daughter, Melanie Adamski of Minnetonka, Minn., his son, Kyle (Diana) Adamski of La Crescent, Minn., and his son, Craig Adamski of Sun Prairie; his two special granddaughters, Allison and Megan. He is also survived by his brothers, Carl (Barb) Adamski, Amherst, Leonard (Marie) Adamski, Mukwonago, Lloyd (Eileen) Adamski, Germantown, Ronald (Arlene) Adamski, Wisconsin Rapids, and John (Mary) Adamski of Stevens Point; his sisters, Caroline Gavin of Milton, Lorraine Brueggen, Berlin, Eleanor (Alois) Adamczak, Wawautosa, Jeanette (Duane) Pamprin, La Palma, Calif., Evelyn (Gerald) Borhardt, Milwaukee, Rosalie (Richard) Brzowsky, Sun City, Ariz., and Mary (Mike) Dutkiewicz of Franklin. He is also survived by two granddogs and two grand-cats. He was preceded in death by his son, Daren John; and one brother, Clarence. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bronislava CatholicChurch, with the Rev. James Trempe officiating. Burial will be in St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery.
