Acklen Services Set for Monday:

Funeral services will be conducted for Josephine Minnie Acklen, 65, of 7456 N Fiske avenue, at 4 p.m. Monday at the J. P. Finley & Son mortuary. Past matrons on Minerva chapter No. 105, OES, will have charge of the services.

She was fatally injured in a fall at home Thursday while her husband, Gerald J. was out of town.

Born November 23, 1882, in Indianapolis, she married Mr. Acklen in 1906. They came to Portland soon after their marriage. She had been a resident here ever since.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Gerald G. Acklen of Grants Pass; three daughters, Mrs. Annabel Taggart of Independence, Mrs. Lenore Morehead of Nahcotta, Wash., and Mrs. Helen Ballew of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Anna C. Slusher of Bellingham, Wash.; three brothers, Eugene Gill of New York city, Emil Gill of Milwaukee, Wis., and Harold Gill of Bountiful, Utah, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Acklen was a past matron of the OES and a member of University Park Methodist church.
