Christene Lois Keener Bergt, age 81, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her residence.
Christene was born September 4, 1931, in Denton, County, Texas, to Mack and Lillie Mae Keener. She was a housekeeper and gardener; and was a member of New Colony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Bergt; four sons, Jimmy Bergt, Robert Bergt, Billy Joe Bergt, and Charlie Bergt.
She is survived by two sons, Mack Bergt of Atlanta, Texas, Joe Bergt of Atlanta, Texas; three daughters, Mary Walker and husband Gary of Atlanta, Texas, Janice Hoffman of Atlanta, Texas, Joyce Meeker and husband Tim of Burleson, Texas; one brother, Monroe Keener of Bivins, Texas; two sisters, Lydia McCool of Linden, Texas, Frances Harrod of Midlothian, Texas; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and other relatives.
