VERMONT -- Dorla A. Adcock, 60, of Vermont died at 9:50 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 12, 1994, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born May 27, 1933, in Vermont to Galen J. and Edith F. Krout Baker, she married Irvin A. Adcock on July 24, 1955, in Vermont. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Susan A. Smith of Vermont, Sandy A. Derry of Macomb and Sherry A. Wys of Moorresville, Ind.; three sons, Steve A. of Deltona, Fla., Stan A. of Table Grove and Scott A. of Ipava; three brothers, Willis E. Baker of Vermont, Norman "Dutch" E. Baker of Littleton, Colo., and Loren G. Baker of Good Hope; and 20 grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was a reporter for the Astoria Argus newspaper. She was a former bank teller at Vermont Bank. She also owned Dot's Silk Flower Shop.
She was a member of Vermont Christian Church, where she served as deaconess and secretary, its CWF Club and Modern Woodmen.

She was a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at her church. The Rev. Ralph Swarthout will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Asotria Cemetery in Astoria. Kost Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
