2013 Nov 26 - Lake City - Benjamin Isaac 'Ike' Edwards was born Saturday 16 Oct 1937 in Cadillac to Frank & Erma Ruth 'Warren' Edwards. He married Eleanor M Elenbas Saturday 21 Jun 1958 in Cadillac. After her death he married Jane A Thursday 14 Feb 2002 in Manton. He graduated from Cadillac High School in 1958. He worked as a bus mechanic for the Cadillac Area Public Schools for 37 1/2 years before retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Jennings Community Church and helped build the new church from its beginning. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting and photography. He was a great grandfather to a lot of children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Erma; his first wife, Eleanor on 18 Jul 2001; 1 son, Paul I Edwards in 1969 and 1 stepson, Bernie Brunges in 2013.
Visitation was 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday 29 Nov 2013 at Jennings Community Church in Jennings. Funeral services were 11 am Saturday 30 Nov 2013 at Jennings Community Church with Reverend Larry Shetenhelm officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jennings. Memorial contributions were to be made to Jennings Community Church. Arrangements were handled by the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. An online guestbook was available at www.petersonfh.com.
