Lawrence Charles Aubut "HIPPY", 74, of Nanuet, NY, passed away on September 7, 2016. Born in Nyack, NY to the late Harold and Amelia Aubut, "Hippy" proudly served , as a decorated soldier, in-country Vietnam, 1st Cav. Division. He retired from the Rockland County Highway Department and was a long time member of the The Nam Knights of America MC, Hudson Valley Chapter. He is survived by his four children, Tara, Jennifer, Scott and Kathleen and his four legged pup Callie

Hippy will be remembered for his selfless acts of charity, mostly concerning homeless animals and children. He lived to play the role of Santa Claus every December for special needs children, Rain or Shine, Hippy could be found at the Bear Mountain Car Show proudly displaying Nam Knight support gear. It would be difficult to find someone that was not touched by Hippy's generosity.

Visiting will be Wednesday from 4-9pm at Assumma Shankey Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY. Graveside service is Thursday, 10am, at The Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
