Born April 2, 1907 at Colfax, he was the son of George and Edna Penfield Arnett.
He married Grace Mae VanAntwerp in Paxton on August 4, 1928. She died May 19, 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Arnett of Winneconne, Wisconsin and Albert E. Arnett of Colfax; two sisters, Marjorie Fulkerson of Gary, Indiana and Leona Lanley of Morgontown, Kentucky; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Arnett was a member of the Union Church of Cooksville and the Colfax American Legion Davis-Kerber Post 653.
A lifetime resident of Colfax, he was employed as a section foreman for 47 years with the Illinois Central Railroad.
