Iris M. Canady, 93, of Clinton, formerly of Pekin, died at 2:55 p.m. Friday (Feb. 2, 2007) at her family residence in Clinton.
She was born April 9, 1913, in Mason County, a daughter of Orange Shores and May Lane. She married Bates Canady on Aug. 15, 1960, in Edwardsville. He survives.
Also surviving are her son, Dennis R. (Phyllis) Newlun, Clinton; one granddaughter, Christy (Bo) Hickman, Clinton; four great- grandchildren, Samantha, Carly, Hanna and Zeke, all of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Glenn Tangman; two sisters; and one brother.
She was a member of Clinton Church of Christ.
