Millard "Skeeter" Wayne Baltzell, 68, of Mc Clure, IL died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his home in Mc Clure, IL.

He was born December 15, 1945 in Grand Tower, IL to William and Ruby Reed Baltzell.

He and Ruth Ann Froggatt were married October 31, 1964 at Murphysboro, IL

He was a US Army Vietnam veteran.Skeeter worked for the Ensign-Bickford dynamite plant for more than 15 years.

After retirement he enjoyed riding around the area on his "easy go" with his dog " Little Bit."

He loved to hunt, and ride the levees of the Mississippi River. He also spent a lot of time watching his favorite TV programs on the Western Channel, and he loved "spoiling" his grandchildren.

Son - Millard Wayne Baltzell Jr., McClure, IL Daughters : Kelly Renee Baltzell, McClure, IL and Roxanne [Morris] McDaniels, McClure, IL Brother - Virgil Wesley Baltzell, Dallas, TX Sister - Frieda Faye Oyler, Grand Tower, IL
Grandsons: Zachary Wayne Baltzell
and Joshua Ryan McDaniels
Granddaughters: Amanda McDaniels
and Alexis McDaniels
and 3 Greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, Sprigg St. Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, February 21, 2014 at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel.

Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Illinois

Memorial contributions may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
