Laurie Ellen Cox, 47, of Denver, lost her long battle with cancer at McDonough District Hospital, Monday morning, Sept. 24, 2012.
She was born July 31, 1965, in Macomb, the daughter of Mary Lou Palmer and Henry E. Frakes.
She had worked at Methode Electronics, Memorial Hospital, and County Market in Carthage. She was a great person and loved by many.
She is survived by three sons; her parents; her paternal grandmother; two brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and a great-nephew; also four special dogs, Jasmine, Maggie, Sugar, and Lily. She was a great person and loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather; one sister, and her husband, Mark Cox.
Funeral services were held Sept 28, 2012 at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial following in Irwin Cemetery, near St. Mary (Plymouth).
Printy Funeral Home of Carthage was in charge of arrangements.
