She is survived by her husband, Richard Barnes of Genoa; two sons, Jack (Sherry) Barnes of Genoa, Daniel (Marie) Barnes of West Lafayette, Indiana; a brother, Maylon Davis of St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren, Michelle (Dan) Brening, Kristin, Lisa, Ryan, and Melanie Barnes; a great grandson, Andrew Brening; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Lorene Davis. She was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at Faith United Methodist Church in Genoa. She was also a former Cub Scout Leader. She volunteered for many charitable organizations including the United Way.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25th at Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home with The Reverend Jan Parsons Comerford, officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Burlington Union Cemetery. A memorial fund is established for The American Cancer Society in care of Cooper-Quiram Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., P. O. Box 251, Genoa, IL 60135. Information 815 784-2518 or www.quiram.com.
