Mrs. Alvina Ackmann, beloved daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Wm. Wischstadt, departed this life Feb. 6, 1920 at her home in, Bloomingdale, her death being caused by flu-pneumonia.
She was born May 25, 1895, was baptised a month later by Rev, Roese, She was confirmed in 1910 by Rev. Meyer and graduated from the Itasca public school in 1911, She was a former member of the Notahee club.
June 26, 1919, this young lady was joined in holy wedlock with Mr. Edward Ackmann. The entire community was shocked to hear of her sudden departure. Her quiet winning ways had endeared her to all who knew her. The beautiful and numerous floral pieces showed the high esteem in which she was held.
Feb. 9, 1020, at one o'clock, a short service was held at her home, where she had become a happy bride only 8 short months ago. At 1:30 the sorrowful procession slowly wended their way to the St. Paul Ev. church, where numerous relatives and friends had gathered to pay their last tribute of respect. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J, H Holteraf. Miss Emma Rentner rendered a touching solo and Misses Ida Woodworth and Amanda Goeddeke sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
The pallbearers were Messrs Edward Klein, Fred Westphal, Edward Klein, Fred Westphal, Herman Ehlers, and Albert Petersohn. The flower girls were Misses Ida Woodworth, Irene Degenkolhc, Amanda Goeddeke, and Ida Broker.
She was laid to rest in the Greenwood cemetery. She leaves to mourn their loss, her sorrowing husband, Edward Ackmann; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wischstadt; a mother-in-law, Mrs, Sophia Ackmann; two brothers Herman and Edward; two sislers, Mrs Linda Liepitz and Miss Hilda Wischstadt; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law; two nephews and four nieces; also her aged great grandmother, Louisa Pieper.
