Capt Joseph Gilbert((1748-1812), may have died during the War of 1812. To date, I have not been able to find his location of burial, it was in Ontario County, NY
Joseph Gilbert enlisted in 1775 under Capt Griswald, they were in the fighting @ Lake Champlain & also St John's. In 1777 Joseph Gilbert served as a Sargent in Captain James Watson's Company, under Colonel Samuel Webb's regiment. He was Born in Litchfield, Connecticut.
