An inspector with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Southington for 30 years, Jean was also a letter carrier with the Plainville Post Office, following in his own father's footsteps.
A devout Catholic, Jean and his family were longtime parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy in Plainville. He was a member of the local Knights of Columbus and enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of the group. During his retirement years, Jean was a proud supporter of the Plainville Community Pantry, working diligently and joyfully with other volunteers to stock the pantry shelves and serve the area poor.
