Leonard W. Alain, 79, of Nashua NH, passed away January 24, 2011, at the Hunt Community. Leonard was born in Nashua on January 25, 1931, son of the late Theodore and Alma (St. Pierre) Alain. He was the husband of Rolande "Rosie" (Desmarais) Alain of Nashua. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Nashua and was educated by the Brothers of Sacred Heart in Nashua, Assumption High School in Worcester NH, and St. Anselm College in Manchester NH. He was the owner of Lenny's Gulf Service on Amherst Street in Nashua from 1964 to 1981. Leonard was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church.

Besides his wife of 59 years, Leonard is survived by his daughter Anita Morris and husband Wayne of Nashua; grandchildren Brenna and Victoria; and aunts Simone Mignault of Isle Verte, Canada, and Lucille St. Pierre of Rivière du Loup, Canada.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Anctil Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2011, in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis St., Nashua at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery
