Mona Anderson, 54, Granville, ND, died after a lengthy illness Saturday, March 26, 2005, in a Minot hospital.

Mona Lynn Sorenson was born on July 4, 1950, the daughter of LeRoy V. and Cleo (Drader) Sorenson in Minot, North Dakota. She attended schools in Minot and Marysville, CA. She was indeed very proud when she received her GED in 1989.

On June 29, 1968, she married Jerry Anderson at Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. To this union two sons were born: Shane and Josh.

Mona battled very courageously many serious health problems. She endured pancreatic cancer 8 years ago.

Her gourmet cooking, baking, and interior decorating were very evident in her extremely neatly kept home. She was a busy and organized homemaker, but she always found time to center her attention on her grandson, Derrek Anderson.

She attended First Lutheran Church in Granville.

Surviving family includes: husband of 36 years: Jerry of Granville; ons: Shane Anderson of Granville and Joshua Anderson of Minot; grandson: Derrek Anderson; mother: Cleo Sorenson of Minot;
mother-in-law: Marion Anderson of Vancouver, WA; sister: Gail Fitzgerald (Bruce Schwab) of Coupeville, WA; sisters-in-law: Joan (Ronald) Lucier of Minot; Mary Kay Anderson; and Cynthia Whisenhunt, both of Vancouver, WA; brothers-in-law: Micheal (Barbara), Steven, Brian, David, and James (Heather) Anderson, all of Vancouver, WA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mona was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy; and father-in-law, LaVurne Anderson.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Granville, ND.

Interment: will be held at a later date at Granville Community Cemetery, Granville.

Visitation: Tuesday Noon until 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
