Darrell F. Adams, 69, Grand Forks, ND died Friday, November 16, 2007 in Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.

Darrell Francis Adams was born September 2, 1938 the son of Ralph J. and Ruth E. (Olson) Adams in Buxton, ND. His family moved to Grand Forks where he attended St. Mary's Grade School and St. James Academy graduating in 1956.

He married Roberta L. Kuntz on November 16, 1959 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks. He was a lifelong farmer in the Grand Forks area.

On February 9, 1990 he married LaVonne K. Holen. In the early 1990's, he began the "Shadyridge Estates" development just south of Grand Forks.

Darrell was well known and appreciated for his generosity, kindness, love of life and witty sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest; was a great visionary and forever optimistic. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, LaVonne; son, Steven (Darla), Grand Forks, ND and their children, Angela (Josh) Kunz, Nicholas and Christopher; daughters, Lisa (Matt) Heher, Grand Forks, ND and their children, Morgan and Ames; Tracey (Damo) Srinivas, Chandler AZ and their children, Dustin and Desiree; Denise (Chuck) Lewandowski, Grand Forks, ND and their children, Shelby and Brady; great grandchildren, Jackson, Lucas and Elisabeth and a sister, Elaine (Lyle) Pierce, Grand Forks, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in Gregory J. Norman - Norman Funeral Home, S. Washington St., Grand Forks and one hour before the liturgy in the church on Saturday.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Mary's Church, 216 Belmont Rd., Grand Forks, ND 58201.
