2-25-1916, The Otoe Union:
"The remains of Farish, the three and a half year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Willard Abbot of Sargent, Nebr., were brought in Friday night and taken from the train to Unadilla cemetery where they were laid to rest in the family lot, a short service being held at the grave by Rev. J.S. Reel.
The little fellow died from intestinal contraction which baffled the physicians and was something they had not before encountered.
Mr. & Mrs. Abbot returned to Sargent Tuesday."
