Lucile was baptized at her home in South Dakota on August 30, 1914. Her sponsors were Philip and Anna Saul. She was confirmed on May 12, 1929 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Dixon, South Dakota by Rev. Theo. Harms.
Lucile attended schools at South Dakota and on July 26, 1940 she married August Dittbrenner at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Naper, Nebraska by Rev. Kaneppell. The family moved to Chester, Nebraska in 1947.
She is survived by two sons: Paul R. of Western, Nebraska and Kenneth E. of Lincoln, Nebraska; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Diane E.) Apking of Fremont, Nebraska; two brothers, Clarence Frerichs of Gregory, South Dakota and Harold Frerichs of Burke, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar (Dora) Tech of St. Charles, South Dakota and Mrs. Orville (Vera June) Nelson of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota; also survived by six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, August, January 9, 1958.
Lucile was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Chester, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held on November 30, 1983 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chester with Rev. Larry Steckling officiating. Interment was held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, Nebraska. Casket bearers were Robert Harms, Darrel Dageforde, Gary McGhghy, Wilbur Mussman, Willis Poppe and Keith Frye.
Services conducted by Hacker Funeral Home, Hebron and Bruning, Nebraska.
