Interment will follow at Mitchell Valley Cemetery south of Mitchell. Lon was born June 19, 1927 in Halsey, Nebraska to John and Fern (Shockley) Anderson. He received his education in Halsey. On March 1, 1947 he married Elsimae Cross in Gering. He ranched and raised cattle. He owned and built numerous airplanes. He enjoyed flying. He also loved to tinker with tractors. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Charlotte and brothers Bud and Elver.
