Mrs. Barbara Vari Berka
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Vari Berka were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Z.C.B.J. lodge hall in Morse Bluff.
Mrs. Berka was born in Bohemia about 70 years ago. She came to this country when but a young girl and located near Linwood, Nebraska, where she lived for many years before moving to Morse Bluff. For the past few years she has made her home on the farm near her daughter, Mrs. Robert Blanchard.
She has been in failing health for many years, but this past year more seriously. She passed away at her home Thursday morning, August 13.
Her husband, Mike Berka, preceded her in death 22 years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert Blanchard, one son, Joe Berka, both of Morse Bluff, three brothers, Frank, Mike and Anton Vari of Clarkson and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Matejka, of Huron, South Dakota, three grandchildren, Lloyd and Lyle Blanchard and Miss Marietta Downey.
Interment was made in the Killian cemetery with Rev. Fillipi of Clarkson officiating.
