According to his obituary published in the Lambertville Beacon, March 2, 1944, he was survived by four daughters, Mrs. George Agin of Lambertville, Mrs. Edward Stout, Mrs. George Spencer, and Mrs. Shirrell Spencer of Hopewell; two sons, Durling and Simpson, Jr. of Hopewell; a brother, Charles Agin, of Pittstown, 20 grandchildren and four great-grand children.
He had lived in or near Hopewell practically all of his life and was for many years a woodman. He was 83 years old when he died.
