Elim Bible Institute teacher

Rev. Ruth I. Rodriguez, 71, died on Sept. 26, 2003 at her home in Lima. She was born on Oct. 5, 1931 in San Francisco, Calif. the daughter of Rafael Rodriguez and Hazel Pearl (Dyer) Sidbury (stepfather, Junie Durant Sidbury). She was a teacher at Elim Bible Institute for 36 years. She was a graduate of the Simpson Bible College and SUNY Geneseo where she received her Masters degree. She was a missionary in Africa and many other countries. She is survived by her daughter Mary Novinger of Lima; sister Victoria Sidbury of San Rafael, Calif.; brother Daniel (Kathy) Sidbury of Dublin, Calif.; three nephews and one niece. Funeral Services were held at the Elim Gospel Church in Lima. Interment, Oakridge Cemetery. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to the Elim Student International Scholarship Fund, 7245 College St., Lima NY 14485 in her memory. Arrangements by the O'Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima.
